Team Preview

The 2022 North Coast Section DIII Champs return seven All-League players and the entire 2022 pitching staff. The Cardinals finished #19 by Max Preps California high school rankings and boast MLB alums Scott Alexander (LHP, Dodgers) and former MLB All-Star closer John Wetteland (RHP).

Players to Watch

Diego Boardman, Sr. | 6’1” | 180 lbs  College Commit: U.C. Riverside  Awards: 1st team All- League, NBL-OAK Previous season stats: .396 AVG, .444 OBP, .865 OPS, .421 SLG, 22 hits, 2 2B's, 10 Runs, 12 RBI's Coaches Note: Diego broke into the lineup last year right around the 2023 Boras and hasn't left since. Smooth and quick at Shortstop, Diego covers good ground and delivers the ball with a strong arm. At the plate, Diego drives the ball well to the opposite field and consistently has quality at-bats. Boardy will also take the mound for our team in relief situations. He commands the ball well and attacks the zone. Another great leader for our team who does so by example.
Jacob “Mo” Moreda, Sr. | 6’ | 190 lbs College Commit: Uncommitted  Coaches Note: Mo is a bulldog. He is tough and competitive in all aspects of his game. He is an infectious leader who loves to compete on the mound and at the plate. Jacob round's out our starting rotation and will play third when not on the mound. Mo will also anchor the middle of our lineup with his ability to use all fields.
Tanner Bradley, Sr. | 6’2” | 185 lbs College Commit: Oregon Previous season stats: 8 games played .308, , 13 AB's, 4 hits. Season shortened due to injury Coaches Note: Tanner is tough, hard working and aggressive, leads by example and demands the best from himself and his teammates. Bradley hits the ball hard and with power to all fields, possesses a very strong arm from the outfield and looks to return to the mound this April.
