8th Annual Boras Baseball Classic of California Releases Much Anticipated Northern Bracket


Archbishop Mitty returns to defend their Northern Boras Classic Title, as four new teams make their debut

March 4, 2020—The Boras Foundation today announced the 2020 bracket in the Northern Section of the Boras Baseball Classic. Host, Oak Ridge High School welcomes three new teams to the Classic held April 6-9, 2020 at the newly developed Army Depot.

Offering additional teams the opportunity to compete at this level is part of what we set out to accomplish in creating the Classic. To see if come to life with young athletes looking to take the game to the next level is what it’s all about.”

The 2020 Northern California Classic is host to:

  • Over 30 Dl College Commitments
  • CIF Champions in newcomers Mountain View
  • 8 Perfect Game Top 250
  • 10 Area Code Games and Area Code Games Underclassman players
  • 10 Nationally Ranked Players 
  • Over 200 MLB Draftees

Defending Champions, Archbishop Mitty returns 1st Team All Bay Area and #86 ranked senior Nick Yorke (INF, Arizona), right-handed pitcher Jake Geis (Oregon) and Honorable Mention All-Bay Area, Reymello Murphy.  

Returning to the Classic after a five-year hiatus are the Liberty Patriots coming off of a 24-7 2019 season the Pats bring a strong team to vie for the Boras Title with Freshman Brady Reynolds (C/OF, Stanford), #93 ranked Cutter Coffey (SS, Arizona) and juniors Jacob Tobais (RHP) and Kaleb Dickey (RHP).

Oak Ridge High School will host the Northern Section of the California Classic, April 6-9, 2020, with the Championship game April 25th.
