Northern Boras Classic Releases Bracket


The Classic boasts eight new additions all vying for the de-facto State Title

Newport Beach, CA, February 28, 2018—The Boras Foundation announced today the final bracket for the Boras Baseball Classic of California Northern Section beginning March 26, 2018.

The 32-team invitational pits the most elite high school teams from Northern and Southern California, to name a de-facto State Champion.

Opening the Northern section of the Classic are returning Champions Bellarmine Prep. Leading the team will be senior Joe Ammirato (RHP), ranked 256th in class.

“Coming off of what we believe to be the Classic’s biggest year, we are excited to see the 2018 class in action, with so much talented packed into one week we anticipate great sportsmanship for each athlete,” said Scott Boras, Director of The Boras Foundation.

All hoping to take the Sixth Annual Boras Baseball Classic State Title, the Classic will also feature the talents of: Oak Ridge, Bellarmine, Davis, Tracy, Franklin, St. Mary’s, Pleasant Valley, Palo Alto, Casa Grande, San Benito, Carlmont, Peteluma, Cardinal Newman, Scared Heart Cathedral, Stockdale and Woodcreek.

Oak Ridge High School will host the North Classic, at McAuliffe Fields March 26-29, 2018.

The 32 high school teams participating in the Classic are guaranteed a minimum of four games with the championship game slated for March 29th, at 6 p.m.

Tickets will be on sale for $7 for adults and $5 for seniors and students. Gates will open at 8:30 a.m. beginning March 26, 2018.
