Reigning Champions St. Mary’s return as two new teams enter the Tournament
The Boras Family Foundation today announced the 16 teams competing in the 2026 Boras Baseball Classic Northern Section, to be hosted by Oak Ridge High School.
The annual tournament set to begin March 30-April 2, 2026, features 16 teams from Northern California to crown its 14thChampion.
“Approaching almost a decade and a half since the inception of the Tournament, providing opportunity to teams throughout the region has been an incredible experience. The young athletes arrive eager to face some of the top talent in the Nation and leave it all on the field, for their chance at the Title. More than that, seeing their excitement showcasing their skills to collegiate coaches and MLB scouts in hopes of living out their childhood dreams is incredible.”

The 2026 Boras Classic features:
- 63 All-League players
- 14 Division l commitments
- 16 Area Code Game participants
- 3 League Players of the Year
Joining the Classic for the first-time are three teams including, Novato with 4-consecutive winning seasons and returning seven starters. West Park with a 24-8 season and six 1st Team All-League selections.
Teams returning to the Northern Section include 2025 defending Tournament Champions St. Mary’s (26-9), and host Oak Ridge High Schools.
Additional Returning Teams
Bakersfield Christian – four straight League titles, and League Player of the Year McCoy Silicz
Benicia – Back-to-back 2nd place finishes in the Diablo-Foothill League with a 17-9, 6-4 record
Cardinal Newman – 2nd place season in the Bay-Oak League with an 18-11, 9-3 season
Franklin – four consecutive Delta League titles and 2023 CIF SJ Champions, return Player of the Year Dylan Minnatee.
Granite Bay – return 1st and 2nd Team All-League selections and are the 2024 Northern Section Boras Classic Champions
Liberty – return five starts from their 2025 season and hold the 2024 CIF Championship Title
Los Gatos – 2025 De Anza League Champions for the third straight season
Pleasant Grove – 3rd place finish in 2025 with a 17-12, 11-4 record
Serra – 2025 CIF-CC Division l Champions with a 28-7 season
St. Francis – 11-time CIF Champions
St. Ignatius – 3rd place finish in the West Catholic league (17-10-2)
Whitney – 2025 season record 20-9, 12-5
The 16 high school teams participating in the Classic are guaranteed four games, with the championship game slated for April 2nd, 7 p.m. at Army Depot Ballpark.
