Players to Watch

John Handy | 6'0” | 205 lbs College Commit: Uncommitted Previous season stats: 3 HR, 9 SB, .453 OBP, 17 RBIs, .288 BA Awards: CVC Defensive Player of the Year Coaches Note: This is John's second year at Woodcreek and he has been instrumental in our success as a program. John is not only a vocal leader, but is someone who leads by example. John is the cornerstone of our defense and is a player who contributes at the plate both through consistent contact as well as power.
Aidan Purvis | 6'2” | 215 lbs College Commit: Uncommitted  Previous season stats: 1.91 ERA Awards: CVC 2nd Team All League Coaches Note: Aidan has worked his way to the top of our starting rotation. Aidan has worked this entire offseason to build himself up to where he is today. He is a player who we can rely on in big moments and to consistently throw competitive strikes. We look forward to seeing his success this season and to see him excel at a high level of baseball.
Dylan Green, Sr. | 6’ | 200 lbs College Commit: Berkley Previous Season Stats: career .329 batting average, .968 fielding percentage and 20 stolen bases. Awards: CVC All League player.

Coaches Note: Dylan is one of the most reliable players I have seen at the high school level. Dylan has a great build with huge upside for college baseball. Dylan has always been someone who leads both on and off the field by example. We are very excited to see his success this year.

Austin Nye, Sr. | 6'3 | 205 lbs College Commit: Vanderbilt University Previous season stats: 4 year varsity athlete at Woodcreek HS, .99 ERA, 84 strikeouts, and only 17 base on balls. Awards: CVC All League Player and CVC MVP.

Coaches Note: Austin is one of the most mature players I have had the pleasure of coaching. Austin's work ethic is outstanding. Although Austin is not pitching for us this year, his leadership and hard work has gotten him to the point where he will definitely contribute both at the plate and defensively at first base. The sky's the limit for Austin.
